Lactate Dehydrogenase

    Lactate dehydrogenase is enzyme important in anaerobic metabolism (catalyzes the reversible conversion of lactate to pyruvate) and is found in almost all bodily tissues. It released into the bloodstream when tissues are damaged and is commonly used as a marker of muscle damage.
